Blocs de métal dans Scrap Mechanic : niveaux 1, 2 et 3

Les niveaux 2 et 3 se fabriquent, ils ne se ramassent pas. Voici l'échelle complète depuis la ferraille et le coût en charbon ardent.

The ladder, in one place

Metal 2 and Metal 3 are not things you find. They are things you make, and every step runs through the Craftbot:

  • Metal Block Level 1: 20 Scrap Metal Blocks make 10 blocks, in 5 seconds.
  • Metal Block Level 2: 20 Metal Block Level 1, 4 Ember and 1 Water make 10 blocks, in 10 seconds.
  • Metal Block Level 3: 20 Metal Block Level 2, 10 Ember and 10 Water make 10 blocks, in 15 seconds.

Every rung doubles the input. Ten blocks of Level 3 need 20 of Level 2, which need 40 of Level 1, which need 80 Scrap Metal Blocks. Add the Ember and it is 18 Ember and 12 Water for those same ten blocks.

That ratio is the single most useful thing to know about metal. Anything asking for 50 Metal Block Level 3 is really asking for 400 Scrap Metal Blocks and around 90 Ember, and it is much better to find that out before you start than after.

Where Scrap Metal Blocks come from

The bottom of the ladder is the part you gather rather than craft:

  • Scrap pile: one roll at 12.9% for 5 blocks.
  • Common loot crate in the starting area: three rolls between 10% and 40%, for 5 to 20 blocks.
  • Ruin chest in the starting area: four rolls between 10% and 20%, for 10 to 20 blocks.
  • Ruin chest and restocking ruin chest elsewhere: one roll each at 3.9%, for 10 to 20 blocks.
  • Warehouse file cabinets: two rolls at 1.3%. Lockers: four rolls at 1.3%. Both give 10 to 20.
  • Epic loot crate: four rolls between 0.6% and 1.5%, for 10 to 60 blocks.
  • Legendary loot crate: five rolls between 0.7% and 1.1%, for 50 to 60 blocks.

The starting area is deliberately generous, so clear it properly before moving on. After that, the Trader Hideout is the fastest bulk source in the game: 1 Blueberry Crate buys 250 Scrap Metal Blocks. That single trade is 125 Metal Block Level 1 worth of raw material.

Metal from the world, not from a crate

Scrap piles are the everyday source and they are all over the map. There are also metal harvestables lying around the world: a Refinebot breaks the common ones down into Scrap Metal Blocks and the better ones straight into Metal Block Level 1, which skips a whole rung of the ladder. Driving a route between those is steadier than crate hunting, because the pickups are always there.

What the loot tables give you at Level 1

Metal Block Level 1 is the one tier that also drops directly:

  • Common loot crate: one roll at 13.3%, or 16.7% in a warehouse, for 10 to 60 blocks.
  • Epic loot crate: five rolls between 2% and 16.7%, for 10 to 60 blocks.
  • Legendary loot crate: six rolls between 2.3% and 16.7%, for 30 to 60 blocks.
  • Large and small mixed deposits: one roll each at 9.1%, for 5 blocks.
  • Ruin chest and restocking ruin chest: one roll each at 3.9%, for 5 to 15 blocks.
  • Warehouse file cabinets and lockers: 1.3% per roll, for 10 to 20 blocks.

Sixty blocks from a good crate roll is a real haul, and it explains why crate runs feel productive early on. It stops mattering once you have a crop line feeding the Hideout trade.

Level 2 and 3 barely drop at all

If you are searching for Metal Block Level 2 or Level 3 in the world, stop. Their entire published drop table is two container types with poor odds:

  • Epic loot crate: four rolls between 0.6% and 1.5%, for 10 to 30 blocks.
  • Legendary loot crate: five rolls between 0.7% and 1.1%, for 20 to 30 blocks.

There is one purchase route for the top tier. The Mining Hub trader sells 1 Metal Block Level 3 for 100,000 Wonk Stack, which is the most expensive item on that list apart from the cosmetics. Crafting is cheaper by a wide margin.

Ember and Water are the real gate

Both upgrade steps need Ember, and Ember only comes from burned trees plus one Craftbot recipe that multiplies what you already have. If your metal line has stalled, that is almost always why.

The other quiet requirement is Water. Level 2 takes 1 per batch and Level 3 takes 10, so building your Craftbot within reach of water saves a surprising number of trips once you are producing at scale.

A practical build order

Get the Scrap Metal supply steady first, because everything sits on top of it. Then bank Ember, because it multiplies and the metal recipes cannot proceed without it. Only then start converting upward, in batches large enough to cover a whole project.

Run the numbers through the crafting calculator before a big build. It expands a finished parts list all the way down to Scrap Metal Blocks, Ember and Water, which is exactly the breakdown this ladder makes tedious to do by hand.
