How trading works

The Hideout trader takes crop crates and caged farmers as payment. Twenty-five trades are open the first time you walk in; the rest have to be earned.

Crop tracks open the rest

Every crop has its own three-step track. Each step you complete pays out a Craftbot recipe or adds a new trade, so spreading deliveries across crops opens the shop faster than farming one crop.

The Mining Hub trader is paid in Wonk Stacks and shows its whole list of 83 trades once the station is running, so there is nothing else to unlock there.

Recipes instead of items

Some trades hand over the recipe rather than the goods. Those are marked below, and they are the only way to get several parts without gambling on Schematic Boxes.
